🗓️ Nov 7 | 📍 @hausdervisionaereberlin Berlin

On November 7, STRAUSWERK is bringing together some of Georgia’s most exciting musicians, performers and artists for a day and a night of modern Georgian culture in Berlin.

At a time when artistic freedom faces increasing pressure, we’re celebrating a creative community that remains fiercely independent, outspoken and connected to the wider world.

From indie rock and pop to electronic music, stand-up comedy and visual arts - this first edition of STRAUSWERK is about sharing a part of Georgia that is alive, curious and connected to the wider world - a vital and evolving community that continues to make music and art on its own terms.

🍷 And naturally, Georgian food and wine will be part of the mix.

As President of the Impact jury, it was wonderful to participate last night in the @adblackseafestival Awards at @sheratonbatumi with my fellow Presidents @mrsbrebenel and @_catalindobre_ (fourth President @njenworks sadly had to leave early).

More to come on the work, which was brilliant 😍

The afterparty was equally brilliant: it featured a gigantic raspberry-covered cake by @bakurianiwater to celebrate #AdBlackSea's 10th anniversary, which delighted @sopokechkhoshvili and @tamartsintsadze (and I can testify was absolutely delicious), and the fantastic Georgian indie rock band @bedfordfalls - it was impossible not to dance the night away.

Then some time after 3am I accompanied Sopo down to the beach for her traditional late night swim in the Black Sea - I'm afraid I declined to join her given the coldness of the water 🥶 - and I crawled into bed at @rooms.batumi at 4am.

Which was a bad idea given I had to get up at 6.30am to catch my @turkishairlines flight back from Batumi > Istanbul > New York...... 😂
