The tenderness is off the charts in Capture the Rain. Don't take my word for it (though you could, after all I did write the thing 😂), just take a look at this absolutely incredible fanart done by @bedtime_dimension. Marcelo knows how to turn on the charm, but he also knows that sometimes you just gotta take a leap to move things forward and just see what happens... do it for the plot. Tbh he is so real for that, it's terrifying to put yourself out there with your emotions and friendships on the line and he does it anyway.
Capture the Rain releases May 25th, my debut achillean romance set in a zombie apocalypse as the end of the world overtakes Miami. Two neurospicy Florida Men healing things in each other they didn't break, an exquisite slow burn, a love letter to staying human in an inhuman, inhumane world. When everything is going to shit it can be hard to keep your softness, it might feel like a tactical error to not harden your heart. But if there ever was a good time to make a terrible decision, the end of the world might as well be it. 🌱

What Death Forgets by @theaverdone
Coming 10/1/2025
Art by @bedtime_dimension

“My body is a shrine to you, and your bed is my church, and now I’m going to worship you.”

—
What Death Forgets is an MM modern gothic romance featuring:
🌊a fan so devoted he’s tattooed only his hero’s art on his skin
🌊painting on each other… while connected completely 🤭
🌊mutual obsession
🌊art rituals
🌊 you were mine all along
🌊 your tattoos made me feel less alone

—
Blurb:

When up-and-coming artist, Asher Blakely, is invited to compete for a prestigious art mentorship hosted by his hero, the reclusive celebrity artist Leviathan Marks, he’ll do whatever it takes to win.

Because Asher isn’t just any fan. He’s spent hours of pain and thousands of dollars turning Leviathan’s art into tattoos on his skin.

But the more Asher gets to know the mercurial Leviathan, the more he starts to fear that maybe he never should have met his hero, that maybe Leviathan is no hero at all.

Lev Marks collects people like paintings and he’ll stop at nothing to add Asher Blakely to his halls. But after luring Asher to his ancestral castle perched atop a tidal island, Lev starts to have second thoughts.

Because Asher’s art is a mirror showing Lev all the worst parts of himself, and he can’t risk his secrets getting out.

This week’s #saturdark prompt is Breath or Breathe. I can’t remember, but this art by @bedtime_dimension was perfect for this series of quotes from What Death Forgets.

What Death Forgets is an MM modern gothic romance coming… ✨ soon ✨

Wanna know what it’s about?

Okay, so basically, a reclusive artist (with a rugby bod of course) haunted by guilt, is trapped at his familial estate, which just so happens to be a spooky castle surrounded by moors… that are… get this!! swallowed by the sea during high tide!!! Which means, forced proximity, baby!!! (Don’t worry, I save all my grammar for my books)

Anyway, then he becomes fixated on this younger art prodigy, and falls in love with him through his art, without ever even knowing what he looks like.

So reclusive artist guy lures art prodigy to said familial estate under the guise of a competition to win six months as his mentee… and when he sees his sulky new protegee is a total snacc (is that what the kids are calling it nowadays?), sparks fly.

But younger art prodigy has been burned before by an older man in a position of power, and he has no interest in making that mistake again…

But then there’s this thunderstorm here and well maybe there was electricity in the air, IDK… they sorta kissed but their lips didn’t actually touch all the way so it doesn’t count, right?

Also, I’ve lost interest in writing this promo caption now. I just feel like I need to introduce new and engaging content instead of the same old blurb. Such is the life of an indie author ;P

Many thanks to @mdantesinferno for hosting Saturdark and @whosthistyler for creating it!

ZINE TRADE!!! ✨ traded zines with @bathtub_dimension, @void_makes, and @yolie4u :D

The lovely Hannah @bathtub_dimension made me a super cute and useful mini zine holder made with their circuit and it holds so many zines actually aaa. I'm keeping this in my backpack to hold all my go to zines now, yay! Thank u so much :D ♥ I really enjoyed their about me zine, we actually have a lot of similar interests lol and it inspires me to maybe make my own? 👀!! The circuit zine too was fun and I'm excited to see what more paper crafts they will make eee :3 I really like the crafty style of these two zines, so cute!! So happy we could trade again yayyaya 🥰👌✨

The Post-Modern @void_makes surprised me with a really beautiful letter collage with manga pages and stickers?!?? Like what??? So cool looking omg, thank u so much I feel so lucky :D! Their zines are all very graphic but feel balanced with the text and cool b/w comic imergry and it's done very well. The Playlist zines were really in tune with the inspired media (xmen and the world's strangest heroes). I related a lot to the "very bad day" per zine cause some times things just suck and it's ok to say they suck 💀 lol. Ty for trading with me :D!!! ✨👻💖

The sunny and caffeinated @yolie4u and I traded as well and even tho I'm not a coffee drinker, the coffee chat collab zine was super cool!! :D it had a lot of perspectives and opinions about coffee, comics, recs, recipes and storytimes ^^☕ It had great flow and really captured a love for coffee, this would be a nice gift to any coffee drinker in your life! The mini was about a "sunball" but I'm not familiar with it but it might be fun to make and try one of these weekends 🌞 both zines were a lot of fun and ty again for trading with me 😎👍✨

Thank you for the trades and glad I took my time to put together this post cause I really wanted to spend time with ur zines. Hope we can trade again in the future :3
