Light & L from Metrocon

I’ve been wanting to cosplay Death Note for sometime and thought why not make it into a skit… I knew I wanted to dance as Light and L but couldn’t figure out a concept and then it hit us - Cell Block Tango. The overall concept was inspired by the handcuffed fight scene in the anime.

Per usual, I constructed the audio and submitted the application while Violet designed the background and choreographed the whole thing.

Yes, our costumes are obviously rhinestoned:
♡ L’s shirt has spread out white rhinestones while the pants of a gradient of blue coming from the bottom. This is to emphasize his legs/feet since he primarily uses them when fighting Light.
♡ Light’s suit is outlined in brown rhinestones and his sleeves have a gradient of red coming from the wrist. This is to symbolize the blood on his hands from all of his crimes. His tie is also outlined and spread out in red rhinestones.
♡ Both of our wigs have colored tinsel sewn into them to reference the opening and all the times they are color coded as blue and red (this is my favorite)!!

I rhinestoned the entire Death Note and apple, ahaha…

Fun Fact: I actually wanted to be Light but we came to the conclusion that switching would be best… I also have a Strawberry Shortcake that is half rhinestoned - I ran out of time 🍰
