Still high and buzzing from this past August's Classic Tribute to @smokeyrobinson , made possible by @joycenronligon 's R&J Entertainment!

We came, we saw, we did our thaaang, and we paid homage to one of American music's titans!

DJ Wes Smooth emceed BOTH Fri & Sat evenings with interludes, musical knowledge drops, and great mood music throughout the shows, the literal glue of the shows and songs. @wesleycolionneconnection

The incomparable Twin Cities icon, Jay Bee ( @bee4219 ), shocked and amazed everyone Fri night with a cameo appearance as Stevie Wonder in full regalia, performed a few Stevie songs with us, and then took our breaths away with his rendition of Smokey's very own "Quiet Storm"!

And, of course, none of this would be possible without the magical musicians, and the support of Karen and the Minnesota Music Cafe!

Vocals:
T. Groovvii, Shermo Manu, Casey Moo, & @realdamienlee
Guitar:
Alex Schnellman
Drums:
Cartier Lafayette
Keys:
Casey Moo
Bass:
Xavier Morrissey

I had a great time putting the vocals for this track featuring @bee4219 from JayBee and the Routine and @cashsmashington who tours with Stokely. I’ve been playing with them for the past few years in Urban Classic and they are some of my favorite singers! I also have @andrinabrogden @sambrownmusic and myself thickening up those backing harmonies. All of this video was beautifully shot and produced by @a_aronlevin One final shout out to @jasonemcglone for the beautiful mix. Thanks for checking out the project Minneapolis Horn Power! #minneapolisfunk #scottagster #minneapolismusic #vocals
