Some weeks you forget your own voice.

Deadlines, bills, a calendar that runs you instead of the other way round. You keep things running, you show up, you handle it. And somewhere in between, the man you were gets quiet. Not gone. Just quiet.

Then the Triumph fires up, the helmet goes on, and forty minutes of back roads do what no pep talk ever could. Nobody fixes anything out here. You just hear yourself think again.

Two-wheel therapy isn’t running away. It’s finding your way back, and bringing that back home with you.

Somebody you ride with needs this more than he’ll admit.

Dear life, we really don’t ask for much. Just more days like these, doing what we love. I’m grateful for the life I get to live.

It’s strange how time works. When you’re doing something you love, hours feel like minutes. The moments you wish would last forever somehow pass the fastest.

For me, riding my Triumph Bobber makes even an ordinary day worth remembering.

Maybe that’s the beauty of it all. We spend so much time chasing what’s next that we forget to appreciate what’s right in front of us. 🤝🏽

When I first started riding, busy roads and highways were definitely not my favorite 😅

That’s when I discovered @beelinemoto relaxed routes.

And honestly, living in the Netherlands makes this feature even better.

The relaxed routes here are SO beautiful.
Small roads, countryside, canals, little villages…

So yes, I still choose Relaxed when I just want to enjoy the ride. 😍

Some guys still smirk at small bikes.

Let them.
The cold morning doesn’t check your papers. Neither does the wet leaves in the corner, or the truck that didn’t see you.

You still pull the leather tight. You still close the cuff. You still look twice at the junction.

That’s riding. On a 125, on a Bonneville, on anything with two wheels.

Respect isn’t measured in cc. It’s measured in how you show up.

Send this to the one who started small and never got the credit. And if the gloves caught your eye, comment GLOVE.

Isn't it wonderful that we get to do all of this?

Sometimes I think about just how extraordinary it is that we get to be here.

Experiencing this strange, beautiful thing called life.

We live in a world where the sky paints itself a different colour every evening.

Where a piece of music can give you goosebumps, a familiar smell can transport you back twenty years, and somebody else's laughter can make you laugh without even knowing what's funny.

We get to fall in love with people, places and songs we play until everybody around us is thoroughly sick of hearing them.

We get to meet complete strangers who somehow become people we couldn't imagine our lives without.

And isn't that just awesome.

And to think there's still so much more to come.

People we haven't met.
Places we haven't discovered.

Whole chapters of our lives that haven't even begun.

And we get to experience it.
The good and the bad.

How lucky are we?

What a wonderful thing it is to be alive.

And what a wonderful thought that some of our happiest days are still waiting for us.

Sunday, 7am. Helmet on before anyone’s awake.

No group chat. No plan. No one asking where we’re stopping for coffee.
Just the Triumph Bobber warming up and a road that doesn’t need small talk.

Somewhere in my thirties I stopped explaining myself. Stopped filling every gap with noise just to prove I’m fine. Turns out the people who matter don’t need constant updates, and the ones who do were never really listening.

Solo rides aren’t lonely. They’re maintenance.
Two-wheel therapy for the parts of your head nobody else gets to see.

Some riders need the pack. Some need the empty road. If you read this and nodded, you already know which one you are.

Every no I ever got turned out to be temporary.

The bank said no. The first boss said no. My own head said no more times than anyone else.

Funny thing: most of those answers didn’t change. I did. I just kept showing up, slightly less polite each time.

Same thing with the bike. Dropped it in a parking lot. Stalled it at the lights in front of a full cafe terrace. Thought about selling the Triumph more than once.

Kept riding anyway.

That’s the whole mindset. Not some secret. Not motivation. Just stubbornness with a better attitude.

Bobber, Harley, scrambler, cafe racer. Every rider in the biker lifestyle has a pile of „not today“ behind him. The ones still out there simply didn’t take it personally.

Men’s health is partly this: not letting one bad week write the whole story.

Tell me the no that ended up making you. I’ll read every one.
