POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The real secret is proper parting, clean grip, neat braiding, and making sure the natural hair is prepped correctly BEFORE the style even starts.

When braids are done properly, they can still look neat and last without your scalp feeling sore for days, getting bumps around your edges, or needing pain meds after your appointment 😭

Especially for kids, tighter is NOT better. Your child should be able to sleep comfortably, move around, and enjoy their hairstyle without constantly complaining that it hurts.

Find you a braider who knows what she’s doing (me 💛)

Your child constantly pulling away, holding their head, crying the entire time, or saying the braids hurt is NOT something that should be brushed off as “just part of getting your hair done.”

A lot of kids aren’t being dramatic, sometimes they’re just uncomfortable.

Kids deserve gentle hands, patience, breaks when needed, and styles that don’t leave them in pain once they leave the chair.

Pay attention to how your child reacts during appointments because their experience matters just as much as the final look 💛

As a mom of 3 girls myself, Mother’s Day means a little extra to me 💛

I know how much love, patience, sacrifice, and effort goes into raising children while still trying to show up for yourself every day.

So today, I want to say thank you to all the amazing parents who support me, encourage me, share my work, trust me with your families, and continue pouring into your children the way you do.

Watching moms and their babies come in together, laugh together, and create memories together will always be special to me.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the hardworking, loving, beautiful moms out there. You deserve to be celebrated today and every day 💛

Your child’s braids should feel good from day one, not tight, not painful, and not something they’re ready to take out after a few days‼️

When it’s done right, you get:
➡️Clean, consistent parts
➡️Gentle tension that protects their edges
➡️A style that actually holds up

This is what it’s supposed to look like.

1️⃣ The parting isn’t as clean as you think. Even if it looks “okay,” uneven or messy parts will show through the entire style and make it look less neat overall.

2️⃣ The hair isn’t properly prepped. Washed, detangled, stretched, and evenly moisturized hair makes a big difference. Skipping this step is why twists can look puffy or inconsistent.

3️⃣ You’re rushing through it. Neat styles come from taking your time!

Save yourself the time and book a two-strand twist appointment with me 💛
