Need to get out and hunt some Chukars again soon!! There’s a reason why they call these things “Devil Birds!” Anyone who’s hunted them knows! They live in steep, rocky terrain and fly like a dart! But dang they’re fun to hunt!!
Also, Ridge acted like he was in trouble when we had him pose with the single he made a great retrieve on! Haha! Thanks @beep_rydalch! We need to go again!

Ran my second 5K ever on the 4th…. Not the best, but I did it. Plenty of room for improvement on the next one!

24.02 Miles on the Stansbury Front Trail ✅
Honestly, back in February when @dillon_rydalch asked me if I wanted to do this run with him I was hesitant. I’m not a runner! He convinced me to challenge myself and within a couple of days I bought some running shoes and started training.
Training went well until a new position at work, a new baby at home, sickness, and many other things seemed to demand all of my time. I didn’t run for 6 weeks, until about 2 weeks ago, when I got in a 3 mile run after work one night. I had every reason to bail, including rolling my ankle right before we started at the trail head, but decided that since I had said that I would do it, to stick to my word!
It was TOTALLY WORTH IT!!
@dillon_rydalch and I completed the 24.02 mile, with over 6000 feet of elevation gain grind, in 8 hours and 50 minutes, including our few stops to re-fuel. It was hot and dusty, but we stayed in good spirits and pushed ourselves at a strong pace to finish in 8 hours. We missed that mark, but I’m dang proud of us for sticking with it and completing something hard!
Thanks again, @dillon_rydalch, for being a reliable and fantastic friend! Appreciate ya brotha!!!
Let’s do another one soon!!
Also, thanks to our amazing support crew and other runners and folks we ran into along the way! @drewsutton5 was a beast!!
