This laundry room features walls tiled from base to crown. Before construction began, the homeowners were delighted to discover 42 of these blue-and-white tiles in the attic, leftovers from a previous owner’s kitchen renovation in the 1980s. Not long after, the homeowner spotted a mosaic of mixed tiles in Paris and found her inspiration. Additional tiles in the same colorway and size were sourced online and combined with the original finds in a deliberately varied pattern. And voilà! A feminine, chic and inviting retreat. A closer look reveals clever details, including a practical stone shelf behind the freestanding soaking tub and a discreetly integrated medicine cabinet. Can you spot it? Contractor: @entablaturenola Interior Designer: @beepdesign.co Architect: @briangillearchitects Photographer: @lsteffan Stylist: @suzonnestirling

There are great wallpapers galore throughout this project (peep the office a few posts back), but we love that the selection in the primary bedroom is a bit more subdued. This lustrous linen chintz wallcovering is undeniably elegant, but the room feels anything but stuffy. The layered mix of textures and patterns gives the space a relaxed, comfortable, and lived-in feel. On a quiet street near Audubon Park in New Orleans, the second floor of this two-story home was completely reimagined. The project included significant changes to the floor plan, a rear addition and updates to the home’s exterior. Our clients were a dream to work with, and we really enjoyed working alongside Brian Gille Architects and Baylor Pillow of Beep Design. We can’t wait to share more of this project, beautifully captured by @lsteffan. We shared the new photos with the homeowner last week, and this was her response: “You know how they say the pictures don’t do it justice? In this case, the pictures are absolutely doing it justice! They are so excellent. I can’t get over it.” Contractor: @entablaturenola Interior Designer: @beepdesign.co Architect: @briangillearchitects Photographer: @lsteffan Stylist: @suzonnestirling

“Spending my twenties in Mississippi was not something I ever planned for,” writes Baylor Pillow, a Delta native and the founder of Beep Design Consulting, an interior design studio based in Oxford, Mississippi. After attending boarding school in Tennessee, and a year of college in Georgia, Baylor found himself a little bewildered to be back in Mississippi as a student at University of Mississippi. Ultimately, Baylor is grateful for the opportunity to come back to his home state. “I needed to be put back in Mississippi to get a reality check, to lose all of that pretense.” Now with design clients throughout the Southeast, Baylor shares how he found an entrepreneurial foothold from his home base in Oxford, and how his perspective on home has shifted over the years. We had “A Screaming Blast” yesterday morning with Rebecca Gardner of @housesandparties! We were thrilled to partner with @artsmemphis to bring Rebecca to Memphis as one of this year’s Art by Design speakers. Each guest received a signed copy of Rebecca’s stunning book and then attended a lively discussion and Q&A with her in the auditorium. Following the discussion, VIP ticket holders were treated to a delicious brunch at beautifully decorated tables by @beepdesign.co topped with treats from the @housesandparties website. Thank you to our event chairpersons, @birdsongolden and @imbaylorpillow, and our event sponsor, Diversified Trust, for an unforgettable morning at Art by Design!
