August is Black Business Month! Throughout the month, we’re highlighting just a few of the incredible Black-owned businesses making an impact in our community and that you should be checking out all year long.

This week, we’re spotlighting Chez Olga, Mahogany Island of Beauty, Genesis Consulting, and Bee’s Squeeze!Supporting Black-owned businesses means supporting our neighbors, local entrepreneurs, and the people who help make our community stronger.

Black businesses traditionally have less access to capital and are investing in parts of town that have been underinvested in by local government. They do the hard work of serving communities that are often overlooked. This is why Black Business Month is so important and why going out of our way to support Black owned businesses matters all year long!

We know this is just a small sample of the incredible businesses we have here in GR. Who are your picks? Drop your favorites in the comments and let us know who else we should be checking out and highlighting! 👇🏾

’26 has already been a vibe and showed me ✨

what’s in my control.
what’s not.
and who I am when I choose peace anyway.

gym days. soft fits. good food. clear boundaries.

we’re moving intentionally this year.

i was hoping to go to @fultonstmarket today but the weather decided to ruin my plans so here’s a little recap from when i went for the first time 2 weekends ago

i saw my girl @beessqueeze_ for the BEST fresh pressed juices (i bought all 4 flavors but gave 2 to my dad and brother). i also tried a chicken taco eggroll from @savortheflavorllc.gr and it did not disappoint! i loved the flavor and how full the eggroll was. the sauces that it was served with were also delicious. if i wasn’t on a little diet i would’ve ordered more 🤣

i loved being able to talk to some of the vendors and hear how they got to the market! everyone i talked to was very passionate about their product and loved being there. i’ll definitely be back to check out more things! 👩‍🌾🍎🥔🍯🥬

Ventured out to the Caledonia Farmer’s Market today to visit John’s brother @ Kalmink Orchards for locally grown apples & peaches, but I found so many other great vendors and people!

Will definitely be coming back!

@downtowngrinc has a great midweek farmers market that was a complete vibe! The one we stoppped in on was the Las Canchas Farmers Market ☀️. Met some amazing vendors/entrepreneurs that even went through the same @springgrfam program that I went through to establish my juicing business @beessqueeze_!!

Personally, I love ❤️ supporting small businesses because you can see what really goes into what they’ve created AND meet the person behind the creation ✨

Vendors who got my coins and would get them again:
@evashaskin
@redravencoffee
@cozylittlenookmi
@globo.restaurant
Some burger spot that was top tier 🤤 but I don’t remember the name 😩 please tag them if you know them 🙏🏾

Happy to share that I have officially licensed & insured my juicing business @beessqueeze_ through Michigan Department of Agriculture 🎉🥳🍾

I can’t thank God enough for the vision and those close to me for the support. I truly do feel blessed beyond measure to be where I am today and I pray that God helps me see this vision through. Thank you @springgrfam for all of your support throughout my journey and thank you @deeforeverr.co for introducing me to SpringGr✨

‘25 really the year 😌

Do you want to see the journey from farm to bottle or how I went about getting my licensing?
