Heavy Synths, Squealing feedback, murky textures and warped vocals serve as a backdrop for deeply personal subject matter, exploring matters of mind and body Calico - Emotionally Devastating Harsh Noise, CALICO expresses grief and dysphoria through the medium of oppressive sound. Power Electronics/Death Industrial/Noise Wall. Her live performances serve as an outlet for twenty six years of discomfort, suicidal intent, and the vast, uncomfortable, disconnect between the body and soul. Beheading - You cannot ignore suffering. Like a monk meditating on the bloated corpse in the cremation ground, 'beheading.' embraces impossible pain with affection. A kinship between a mother's love and a father's suicide. Consuming books, papers, and documentaries in a desperate attempt to understand why any of this is happening. What will you leave behind? Wretcheddd - Wretcheddd is an exercise in sonic purgation. Moving far beyond the constraints of traditional genre, the project weaponises harsh noise and power electronics to excavate the depths of human failure. This is not music; it is an abrasive confrontation, a fusion of industrial rot, and the violent rejection of melody.Where others seek “good energy,” Wretcheddd finds truth in the vituperative.The track is a calculated unspooling of regret, remorse, and resentment, woven into a wall of sound designed to shatter the listener’s complacency.The project’s power stems from a refusal to look away. Every setback is not just an opportunity to improve, but a wound to be reopened and examined. Wretcheddd is pure raw emotion, transformed into a visceral, cathartic weapon for those who have nothing left to lose but their silence. Distraxi - Pummelling feedback, junk metal abuse, delicate synths and Alina's tortured trademark vocals make for a one of a kind live experience. OA100 This comp is out Monday. I appear on here as Slow Murder, between and before the good stuff, friends and great projects. It’s not a stretch to say that Dean is one of the most important parts of UK noise, and it would be a vastly different landscape without his projects and label. He’s more or less responsible for me starting a project and has only ever encouraged me to fall further down the rabbit hole. Sorry for the essay. Love always.

OA 2024: 29/1/24 will see the release of “True Listening Is Love In Action”, a double cassette compilation to celebrate the 100th release on Outsider Art, featuring all new material from many of the members of the OA family. A second run of the recent Coma Cluster and Crude Assemble tapes will be available at the same time. Later 2024 will see releases from Acts Of Worship, Disraxi, Ecotage, Secret Boyfriend, Svartvit and many more. There’s also two OA gigs to start the year, January 7th at @thebeesmouth, Brighton with Svartvit, Knifedoutofexistence and Whose Body Is This and January 8th at @joi.southsea, Portsmouth with Svartvit, Fleshlicker, Knifedoutofexistence and Viimeinen.
