I’ve teamed up with @depop again to share some of my fave sustainability vintage + second-hand finds — and to shed light on why making more conscious fashion choices matters.

The fashion industry is one of the biggest polluters in the world. By supporting fast fashion, you are supporting:

• 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions
• 20% of the world’s wastewater
• 35% of ocean microplastics

Some other facts that may interest you;

• 3 out of 5 garments end up in landfills
• Polyester takes 200 years to decompose
• One garbage truck of textiles is burned or landfilled every second

Fast fashion may seem cheap, but it costs us—and the planet—so much more.

So what can we do?

• Buy second-hand (try @depop or vintage shops like @ma.and.pas.vintage, @retrostarvintage @bulcock_street_bazaar @thrifter_au @the_thriftyard )
• Support local and sustainable brands (@beije_store @merrellaustralia )
• Repair, upcycle or DIY your clothes
• Donate instead of discarding
• Start conversations + share what you learn

Small swaps = big impact when we all get involved.
