The best inspiration sometimes comes home in your camera roll… ✨

Our client walked through our doors with a photo from their overseas travels and asked us to bring it to life for their dream home. Challenge accepted!

We had so much fun creating this little prototype, working through the details and bringing their vision one step closer to reality. From overseas inspiration to something made just for them. 🤍

EVER HOUSE | Completed.

It feels like only yesterday we were standing together on site, surrounded by piles of dirt and an overgrown garden, walking through the home with only the frames up and imagining what each of these spaces would one day become.

And now, here we are.

There is something quite emotional about reaching the end of a project like this. We have watched Ever House evolve from lines on a page and conversations around plans into a home that feels warm, settled and so completely reflective of the family who lives here.

For us, that is where the joy lies.

No two KWD homes are ever intended to be the same. A home should tell the story of the people within it. How they live, what they love, where they gather and the little rituals that make everyday life their own.

Ever House was designed for a young family with three young children, which makes completing it feel even more special. In many ways, the house is finished, but their story here is only just beginning.

There will be birthdays around the table, little feet running through hallways, long afternoons in the garden, family dinners around the kitchen island and countless ordinary moments that, one day, will become the memories they treasure most.

To have played a part in creating the backdrop for all of that is such a privilege.

Ever House feels like a warm hug. This is exactly why we do what we do.

EVER HOUSE | Handover Day

There is so much trust involved in designing someone’s home. You are invited into the way a family lives, what matters to them, what they need from their spaces and, ultimately, how they want their home to feel.

By the time we reach handover, we have made hundreds of decisions together. I love walking through the finished home with our clients and remembering when those details were simply a conversation, a tiny sample on the table, or a line on a drawing that we went backwards and forwards on until it felt just right.

Then you hear, “I love that,” and it makes every one of those decisions worthwhile.

There is something very special about this final walk. No more drawings to mark up or selections to make. Just taking it all in together and seeing the home finally belong to the family it was designed for.

That will always be one of my favourite parts of what I do.

A very special handover at Ever House.

EVER HOUSE | The best part.

There is something incredibly special about watching a home come to life through the eyes of our clients.

We spend so much time imagining not only how a home will look, but how it will feel for the people who live there. As Ever House nears completion, seeing that vision become a reality, and the joy that comes with it, is the part I love most.

It’s a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do.

AI in Behaviour Support @specialisedbehaviouralsupport
Yesterday I had an incredible collaboration meeting with @bel.gray to explore the implementation of AI tools in the monitoring and review stages of Behaviour Support. This work feels like the missing link in our sector — especially when long Behaviour Support Plans are written but not always implemented as consistently or effectively as intended.
Bel has developed an innovative tool that allows teachers, support workers, and children’s care teams to track behaviour, identify which strategies are effective, and flag those that aren’t. This means every allied health professional involved in a child’s care can stay aligned, informed, and responsive in real time.
While many know Bel for her connection to football royalty, her knowledge of AI, robotics, and emerging technology is nothing short of extraordinary. The way she merges behavioural science with advanced tech feels like something straight out of a science‑fiction film — and it’s exactly the kind of innovation our field needs.
Excited for what’s ahead and grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with someone pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in Behaviour Support.
