I got bullied for a lot of the things that eventually helped me find my people.

Being weird. Dressing differently. Wearing makeup. Being sensitive. Being too much.

Those same parts of me led me to music, queer community, friends, collaborators and chosen family.

Turns out the parts of me that made me feel most alone were also the parts that connected me to everyone I was looking for. So so so grateful xx 🖤

Emotional breakthroughs followed by absolute chaos. It was a very mayhem moment!

I hadn’t seen @ladygaga in over ten years and I wasn’t ready for how emotional it’d be.

I went and saw the Mayhem Ball in Melbourne this weekend and wow. One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen.

The last time I saw her was during Born This Way and ARTPOP. Back then I was bullied for being queer almost constantly,

and Gaga was the artist that not only made me feel safe but was the vehicle to me becoming me.

So seeing her again, a decade later reminded me of how far I’ve come and the person I used to be when I saw her last.

And then… we went out after.

My friend Bela looks so much like Gaga
that people stopped us all night asking for photos.
