🇺🇸
The 1-meter jump in IGP – it may look simple, but there’s a lot of technique behind it.

A clean jump takes more than just clearing the meter: a good takeoff, controlled movement through the air, clearing the jump without touching it, and a safe landing all matter. And then the dog has to bring the dumbbell back and finish with a clean front position.

That’s why good jump training doesn’t start at one meter. The technique and the entire sequence are built step by step, so the dog can learn the movement safely and use their body correctly.

What do you pay the most attention to when training the 1-meter jump?
What tips would you share with other handlers?
