POV you are a pilot at the JWGC in Aalen, Germany!!!!🇩🇪

Who do the pilots think will become World Champion… in the other class? 👀🏆

We asked some Club Class pilots to predict the Standard Class winner and Standard Class pilots to pick their Club Class favourite.

Let’s see who gets it right! ✈️

𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 | 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗚𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🇩🇪✈️

Today the JWGC in Aalen officially began and what an opening it was.

The organisers took us by mini-train to a monastery on a mountain, followed by a very enthusiastic walk all the way up. At the top, we were welcomed by a monk, who wished us great flights and a successful championship.

After lunch at the monastery, we walked back down, took the bus to Aalen, joined the parade, and watched the FAI flag being raised.

Then, we got a drinks voucher for the city, although in this heat, waiting four hours for the buses to go back might have been the real endurance task. 😆🫠

Nine hours later, the opening ceremony was complete. Unofficially, the first world record in this championship of hosting the longest opening has already been broken. 👀

Huge thanks to the competition management, organisers and all helpers for putting together this special day.

Now: let the racing begin. 🇳🇱🔥
