This month’s Believe! Journal features Hall of Giants Founder John Tillman alongside Mike Rowe, two powerful voices celebrating the people, ideas, and hard work that make America exceptional.

In his piece, “How Capitalism Channeled Masculinity,” John explores how America’s system of free enterprise transformed ambition, strength, and talent from forces of domination into forces for creation. From entrepreneurs like Elon Musk and Andrew Carnegie to the nation’s founding principles, he makes the case that America’s greatest gift to the world may be its ability to channel human ambition toward building, innovating, creating jobs, and improving lives.

As we wrap up our Free Enterprise issue at The Believe! Journal, I’m grateful for the contributors who helped tell the story of what’s possible when people are free to create.

Each voice reflects a simple truth: when we empower people to build, solve, and serve, everyone benefits.

As we enter 2026 and America’s 250th birthday, the Believe! 50th Anniversary Edition is being released with new reflections from Doug DeVos.

Believe!, the book originally penned by Rich DeVos in 1975, was written as a reminder of the principles that form a strong foundation for our lives and our country.

The timeless principles that have been a guide for previous generations – free enterprise, human dignity and family – help keep the American Dream alive when everyday people put them into practice. Believe! Helps restore and reinforce those principles for a new generation.
