Documentary-style brand storytelling for @jaydacheavesbeauty 🎥 For this project, @jaydacheaves invited our team at @bltfproductions to craft the story behind her beauty brand, a reflection of her upbringing, her drive as an entrepreneur, and how beauty became a catalyst in this stage of her journey. With several businesses already under her belt, including @waydaminbrand , this brand film frames Jayda not just as a beauty founder, but as a visionary continuing to evolve. As DP, my goal was to let the story feel authentic, cinematic, and aligned with the level of excellence Jayda holds her business to. We captured interviews on the Sony FX3 with a 35mm as A-cam, paired with the Sony A7IV and a 90mm macro for detail. The docu-style edit weaves together new footage, multimedia archives from her childhood, and professional visuals I’ve created for her in the past, supported by work from her longtime photographer and videographer, to present a full picture of her journey. A typical brand story unfolds over months, documenting labs, milestones, and celebrations. Our challenge was to bring that same depth into a single session. By combining fresh production with archives, we shaped a narrative that feels timeless and true to the brand. BLTF Productions handled filming, lighting, sound, and editing in house, ensuring a seamless production from start to finish. Projects like this highlight the diversity of what we do, from scripted commercials to documentary storytelling, all built to match the vision of the brand.
