Untitled ~ 2024
84”x 60”, assorted fabric

This piece was my final for Intro to Fiber Study during my first year as a @vcuartscraft major!
For this project, my class made quilts with the intention to donate them to patients at VCU hospice.
I worked with @livsjournalingg and @bell4.art to make a fun, colorful quilt to bring playful energy and light to the patient who received it!
This marked the beginning of my journey as a fiber artist, introducing me to the love of working with textiles, and it also helped me discover my favorite aspect of art school: other artists! Being surrounded by amazing artists, like my classmates and professors, humbles, inspires, and encourages me everyday.
I love the family and community of artists that I have built. Through this project, I met one of my very best friends, Olivia! I’m so very privileged to be able to meet, work with, and build relationships with the amazing artists of the future!
