We asked the cast of “Give My Regards to Cabaret”: What Broadway song or show made you fall in love with theatre?

Maybe it was a song you heard once and never forgot, a cast album you played on repeat, or the show that made you dream of stepping onto the stage yourself.

GIVE MY REGARDS TO... THE SHOW THAT STARTED IT ALL.✨

It’s taken me a while to really process this Pride cabaret. I pitched the idea to EPIC last year because of how much overlap there is between the queer community and the disabled/neurodiverse community. To see it come to fruition was absolutely incredible to see, and everyone did such a phenomenal job! I’m very thankful that EPIC gave us the opportunity to showcase the importance of intersectionality. Disability rights have always been interlinked to not just the queer rights movement but every human rights movement, and it’s important especially in these times to remember that. Pride month may technically be over, but July is still Disability Pride month, which includes queer disabled folks. And representation doesn’t stop after June or July. I’ve been living in LA for nearly seven months now, and adjusting has been hard. But one thing that’s made it just a little easier is knowing I’ve found my people, and knowing I’m part of a theatre company that consistently shows they accept all of me and truly care about giving a spotlight to underrepresented communities, whether it’s through putting on a Pride cabaret full of primarily queer Players, or casting a trans person as the lead for their first mainstage play. Happy Disability Pride🌈

(P.S. THE Cake Moss was complimenting my rainbow boots all night😍)
