As the first official full week of school wraps up, we are incredibly proud to announce that last year’s 2025-2026 NHS Varsity Volleyball team earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award for maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale).

This award reviews the grades of all eligible collegiate and high school programs across the country and we are so excited to see their hard work be recognized! Let’s do it again ladies! (Swipe to see all the players from last year’s squad recognized 💙🎓💛)

- I would just like to say that I am so proud of every single person that is going to walk the stage at the NHS graduation tomorrow. I don’t care what disagreements there may have been over the years, I don’t care if I haven’t had a good relationship with anyone or just haven’t gotten to know you very well, I don’t care if I’ve never even met you. This is such an amazing close to a very big chapter of every single one of our lives. Over the years I’ve really tried to open up to a lot more people and just spread love, I really wish I had more time to take the opportunity to connect with more of my fellow graduates. However, even though I missed that chance, I am praying for a bright future for every single one of you. For anyone that thinks they won’t have someone cheering for them tomorrow night just know I’ll be rooting for you. ❤️❤️

What a journey it’s been. It’s so strange to think that I hung up my Newnan jersey for the last time yesterday, but I’m so thankful for every moment that made it so hard to say goodbye. High school volleyball has been more than a sport to me- it’s been a home, a family, and a piece of who I am. Every practice, game, bus ride, win or loss, this chapter of my life will be one I’ll never forget! Most importantly, I’ll remember every teammate, coach, and manager that I’ve had the privilege to call my 2nd family. It definitely was not easy to walk off a high school court for the last time, but I’m proud of how far these 4 years have gotten me and so excited to see what is next in God’s path for me! Thank you to all of the people who have pushed me and encouraged me in my career at Newnan, I love you all!! Go Cougs forever 💙💛
