Sending a major CONGRATULATIONS to my first ever junior ballroom couple, @isaiah.santos13 & @milarose_bailadora, on their success at @theonenationals @ovationdance!! 🥹👏💜

These two 12-year-olds have shown dedication, maturity, and professionalism far beyond their years. Both are incredibly talented multi-style dancers, but learning to partner in all 5 Latin dances was a completely new beast.

When Isaiah joined Evolve 6 months ago and partnered with Mila in my class, they immediately showed so much potential. They officially began training together in February with the goal of competing at The ONE Nationals ballroom competition, simply for the experience.

The craziest part? They are a long-distance partnership, living 7 hours apart! Isaiah is on Evolve’s travel team, traveling to Pittsburgh 1-2x/month for training, while Mila would visit him in Charlotte to practice. They made the most of every minute together and worked so hard, even when a coach wasn’t always present.

I am so proud of their courage, growth, and willingness to step outside their comfort zones through working together as a team. They ended up winning 🥈 Overall Junior Couple and receiving national recognition from icons @derekhough @valentin @jennajohnson!! 🤩

A huge thank you to my team who stepped up to help me coach them this year: @lincolnkosyla @_sarabonilla_ @bella_dances06 🙏 and the amazing @artstyledancestudio @louisvanamstel 👏👏

Lastly, thank you to @evolvedancecomplex @jenlsebes @chelsebes for taking a chance on me and allowing me to start a ballroom program at your studio. Watching these young artists grow has truly been a highlight of my year, and I cannot wait to see this program continue to flourish. 💜

WOW. Words can’t describe how incredibly grateful we are for the intense 4 days of pre-season training and formation choreography with the insanely talented Max & Nika @maxfire.nicolemtched.de @itssmaksik @nicolemtched for our advanced competitive team. WHAT AN HONOR to have these world class latin pros come right here to Pittsburgh!!!🤩 Bringing the @dance.evolution.club vibe right here to PPU was a dream come true, so rewarding to see all of our students become inspired by the same energy that inspired our captains🥹 The work everyone put in and transformation our dancing made in such a short period of time is unbelievable!!! Not to mention we choreographed a 5 minute show-stopping formation in just 3 days!🪩🕺💃
Huge thank you to our head coach Rozana Sweeney @artstyledancestudio , captains @linc.eliz.dance @lincolnkosyla @elizabeth.woodberry , all of our sponsors and donors, Dean Paylo, and everyone else behind the scenes @pointparku @pointparkdance for helping support this endeavor!!! We couldn’t have made it happen without you! lastly, a huge shout out to each and every one of our amazing dancers who came back to school early just for this, training nearly 40 hours in over 4 days!💪

We are filled with so much fire, knowledge, hunger, eagerness, and inspiration going into the spring competition season!✨ This is just the start, LET’S KEEP IT UP DANCERS!!!🔥🔥🔥
BLACKPOOL BOUND 2026!!! WE🆙🆙🆙
