i have been looking forward to and so excited to serve a mission for as long as i can remember. when i opened my mission call to the taipei taiwan mission i was so excited. i started preparing right away and i was sooo ready! i was in the mtc for a couple weeks and then headed out to taiwan!!! i was in taiwan a couple weeks when my hips started to hurt very bad. i decided to go to the doctor and they were doing all they could to try and figure out what was wrong with me, but it only got worse and to the point that i couldn’t walk. after lots of long, hard, confusing, & painful days, and after counseling with my mission president, stake president, parents, and doctors we decided that it would be best for me to go home. so after just one short month in taiwan i made the trip back to saint george. when i got home doctors figured out i had a herniated disc in my back that was pinching a nerve in my hip, i got a cortisone epidural in my spine and i am all better!! while i have been home i have been serving as a service missionary in the utah st. george mission and it has been an amazing experience. i have met some amazing missionaries here that will be life long friends! because of the medical care i might need in the future i have been reassigned stateside and wont be returning to taiwan. although i am really sad i wont be returning to taiwan, i am so so excited to announce that i have been reassigned to serve in the ARCADIA CALIFORNIA, MANDARIN CHINESE SPEAKING MISSION!! i’ll be leaving in the next 2ish weeks!! i know that god knows us all individually and has a plan for each of us, even if it’s not what we expected or hoped for, everything happens for a reason. i know that god knows where i’m at and i trust he will always put me where i need to be as long as i am following and trusting him. i know that the savior, jesus christ knows exactly what i’m going through, and he will always be there. i know heavenly father and jesus christ have perfect love for each of us, and i could not be more excited to serve the people of arcadia california! 😇❤️
