NYFW Sept 2025 ~ first time EVER walking on a runway & actually where this whole crazy modeling dream & journey of mine started๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘  AND also getting photographed by @gettyimages at that very same show!? I still can't believe that to this day. Now, as I head into NYFW week again, looking back at these pics, I can't help but think just how freaking FAR I've come in only ONE year.๐Ÿฅน A year ago, I had NEVER walked a runway before. I was brand new, fresh to the modeling world, nervous as hell and had no idea what I was doing. But I knew I wanted to do this and fulfill a long lived dream of mine. And now, here I am, a year later and modeling has become a huge part of my life. NYFW. Miami Swim Week. Miss MA USA. Traveling for modeling. Multiple publications. AMAZING photoshoots. Filming the first season of a freaking modeling competition TV show๐Ÿคฏ & even walking the runway as a designer for my own collections!! I will NEVER take any of these opportunities for granted. When I look back at everything that has happened in just one year, I'm still in shock at the blessings I have been given. I know I still have a long way to go and still have sooooooo much to learn. My walk isn't perfect, my posing isn't perfect & I'm still figuring things out as I go. But that's what makes me so proud when I look back from where I started. I see my GROWTH. I can see it in my walk. I can see it in my pictures. I can FEEL it in my confidence. I'm not that same nervous girl who stepped onto that runway a year ago...although, I still get those jitters right before I walk out lol. I can't talk about where this started without thanking two women who believed in me & gave this short, curvy, tattooed, 40-something NEW model a chance. Jenny & Maria & P8Productions ~ THANK YOU for seeing my potential before I even saw it myself. I will forever be grateful.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผโค๏ธ Heading into NYFW this week feels a little different. ๐Ÿ’– THANK YOU ๐Ÿ’– I seriously can't thank you all enough for all the texts, messages, calls, DM's & birthday love!! You all know how to make this girl feel extra special!! Since hubby had to work on my birthday, we actually celebrated on Wednesday with a fun little date at the top of the Pru & some good eats at Eataly. My actual birthday was very chill....we kept it completely low-key, hid from this crazy ass heatwave in the AC ๐Ÿฅต, watched a movie, ate some ice cream, & just relaxed. Honestly, it was the perfect way to wrap up another trip around the sun.๐Ÿ’ซ I am feeling beyond blessed, so incredibly grateful, and so excited for everything this next year has in store. If you had told me a year ago that I would be competing in the Miss MA USA Pageant representing my hometown of Newton, I wouldn't have believed you. A year ago, I was still trying to convince myself that I belonged in the modeling world. I was questioning if I was too old, too curvy, too tattooed, too different. Truthfully, I didn't think I had what it took. But here I am. Over the past year, I've stepped outside of my comfort zone and into opportunities I once thought were meant for other people. I've walked runways I only dreamed of, embraced every part of who I am, and discovered that confidence isn't about having it all figured out. It's about showing up anyway. And now, I get to represent the city that raised me on the Miss MA USA stage. NGL, this feels surreal. This moment means more than a competition to me. It's proof that growth happens when we dare to take chances on ourselves. It's a reminder that our dreams don't have an expiration date and that the things we think disqualify us may actually be the very things that make us shine. To the woman I was a year ago: thank you for taking that first step, even when you were scared. I promised myself at the beginning of this year, that this is gonna be the year that I just go for it. So here I am...doing exactly that. Whatever the outcome may be, I know one thing for sure: I'll be proud of myself for having the courage to try. Because sometimes the biggest win isn't the title. It's believing in yourself enough to take the leap. ๐Ÿ‘‘ To anyone who's ever doubted themselves, wondering if they're enough, I hope my journey reminds you that you are capable of far more than you realize.
