A designer’s vision should be present in every detail.

Inspired by the wave-patterned pavements of Rio de Janeiro, Martyn Lawrence Bullard created the Rio collection, translating their rhythmic curves into sculptural lighting with luminous opal glass globes.

At Designer Alliance, we believe original design begins with a designer’s unique point of view. We champion creative authorship, protect creative integrity, and give designers the freedom to bring their ideas to life from concept through execution.

Because design should be more than a name attached to a product. It should reflect the vision behind it.

An unforgettable evening of design, light, and a little magic.

We joined legendary interior designer @martynbullard at New York City’s Speakeasy Magick for the debut of @designer.alliance, an invitation-only collective of renowned designers creating original lighting with a singular belief: the future of design belongs in the hands of designers.

The evening unveiled Martyn’s inaugural lighting collection, inspired by a lifetime of travel, in a spectacular setting where design, artistry, and illusion came together.

The most compelling designs often begin with a place, a story, or a moment in time.

The Tangier sconce, designed by Martyn Lawrence Bullard, draws inspiration from Morocco’s pierced lanterns and the glamour of Tangier’s nightlife in the 1930s and 1940s, translating these rich references into a lighting piece with a story of its own.

At Designer Alliance, we believe original design is about more than the finished piece. It’s about the freedom to explore the inspirations that move you and the vision to bring them to life.

“I’ve always believed lighting is the jewelry of the home. The final luminous layer that gives a room its character, glamour, and soul,” says Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Founding Icon of Designer Alliance.

That philosophy comes to life in Martyn’s premier lighting collection for Designer Alliance, where inspiration from his travels informs original designs shaped by his creative vision.

Meet Cleo, a table lamp inspired by Cleopatra and the enduring symbolism of the serpent. Its sculptural brass detailing brings this historical reference to life in a distinctive design that reflects the story and thought behind the finished piece.

At Designer Alliance, we believe the future of design belongs in the hands of designers. Cleo embodies that belief, translating a designer’s inspiration into an original creation.
