After finishing my 4th year (!) of osteopathy I needed a change of pace.

So I slid down some slippery rock pools, got pulled along a fast flowing river, watched some snails slowly journey across my morning vista, spent all day making a thousand orecchiette(eaten in minutes), and watched the sunset over the mountains.

In a massage, it’s always good to hear the pace you need- energising and flowing or laid back and soothing. Tell me!

NEW SERVICE ALERT: Facial massage !

A soothing and relaxing massage for your face, head and neck, stimulating pressure points, helping to increase blood and lymphatic circulation, easing headaches, plumping the skin, smoothing fine lines, wrinkles and habitual expression lines & overall getting you glowing. Unlike a facial, we don’t use any chemicals for this treatment.

You come out looking and feeling truly fabulous.

So what does it do?
Friends would confirm I am not exactly a polished, 8-step-skincare routine person (see pics)- but I am an expressive person and sometimes those face muscles feel TIRED (and look it)! Have you ever found yourself clenching your jaw or furrowing your brow even as you go to sleep at night? Do you get headaches? When we are busy living our lives being ‘on’ these smaller, hardworking muscles of our head and neck often take the hit. This treatment works on both the muscle tension we accumulate in our face, reducing puffiness, enhances supply of nutrients to skin cells, relieves stress-related headaches, eyestrain and insomnia and is deeply, deeply relaxing.

Bookings are now live for home visits or @studio.pinacle : for 45 or 60 minutes, or add-on a 15 minute or 30 minute session to any full body massage.

NB: this style of treatment is also known as “facial rejuvenation” or “natural facelift” or “anti-aging” massage. Personally I am not trying to fight gravity nor the passage of time for the rest of my life - (thank god for my feet being safely on the ground and I hope I continue to grow as I accumulate years) - so I have decided not to use these terms, but I can confirm that the side effects of one of these massages include youthful exuberance, joie de vivre, and getting ID’d buying booze

🌷HELLO 🌷
A bit of background about me:

I’m Bella, a massage therapist and osteopathy student- a holistic, muskuloskeletal speclialist. I work with many different kinds of people: who have specific injuries, pain or stress, from work or sport or no apparent reason, or people who - importantly - just want to feel nice.

Before this, I worked as a researcher looking at healthcare education, building on my degrees in History and Philosophy of Medicine (BSc) and Medical Humanities (MSc), which asked questions like: What is health / illness? What does good ‘care’ look like? How are “mind” and “body” connected? In my research I focused on ways to support healthcare professionals with non-verbal communication (touch, intimacy, spacial awareness) and self-care skills. V up for chatting about these topics always.

I also worked as a waitress, dropped out of medical school and studied dance - and all of these experiences also feed into my approach to treatment and care. I do many physical activities (yoga tennis running swimming netball weights)… at a medium / low level but with pleasure & competitiveness.

I’m absolutely resigned to being a lifelong learner, and love seeing clients because everyone is so unique (just like everyone else 😉, as my auntie says). So every interaction is a chance to learn and grow more, and supporting my clients to feel good also, obviously, feels fab.
