Summer 2026!!!!

What a summer it’s been at @camp.cho.yeh . If you would have told me that doomscrolling on Instagram would lead to the funniest and most meaningful summer of my life, I would have told you that you were crazy. From jumping around the dining hall at the crack of dawn to the late-night Dogwood meetings, every day was filled with moments and memories I know I’ll carry with me forever. Jesus, You have truly made Your presence known this summer. Getting the opportunity to create a space of genuine joy, excitement, and belonging for children while leading them closer to Christ has been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Hearing the stories, struggles, and challenges these kids face has reminded me that everyone around us is carrying something, no matter what their life looks like. Because of that, we have no other choice but to lean on Jesus and trust that He is working even when we can’t see it. To everyone I’ve met this summer, thank you. To my fellow counselors, crew, full-time staff, media, and everyone else who makes this place what it is, the love of Christ is so apparent. Through Walmart runs, Mexican food, SHO hangouts, late-night conversations, and everything in between, the community at camp is truly unmatched. FTK!! They say it’s the people who make a place special, and I don’t think I’ve ever understood that more than I do now. The people I’ve met this summer have become friends, mentors, teammates, and in so many ways, family. I’m so grateful for every conversation, every laugh, every late night, and every person who made this summer what it was. I know I’ll look back years from now and realize that some of the best parts weren’t the big moments, but simply the people I got to experience them with. I came to Livingston for a summer, but somewhere along the way, it became home because of the people who filled it, the memories we made, and the way Jesus showed up in all of it.

My summer working at Cho-yeh was the best I could ever ask for! Thank you god for this opportunity to work here and serve you god! This truly was the best summer of all time!! “Isaiah 41:10: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

This has honestly been the most challenging but rewarding summer. Being able to have the opportunity to serve these kids has been such a blessing. I’m so grateful for the new friends I’ve made and a new community of amazing people who pour so much passion into these kids. I’ve learned so many things that will stick with me forever. This is definitely a summer I will never forget! ☀️🦌

these 6 weeks in the tall pines have been a dream! The greatest gift of all was seeing the Lords faithfulness while pouring into these kids every week. I am so blessed I got to serve alongside such a supporting community. This summer has a special place in my heart!

God is so, so good.

This summer was a gift I’ll carry with me for a long time. I’m walking away with memories I’ll cherish forever, friendships I’ll always be thankful for, and a heart that’s been changed by the Lord. Thank You, Jesus, for every camper, every conversation, every laugh, every challenge, and every reminder that You are always faithful. Until next summer.
