the hardest goodbye.

thank you reitz soccer. thank you not just for giving me the opportunity to play the game that i love, but for giving me the best friendships i’ve ever known. everyone who knows me knows how much i love soccer. but i’m starting realize it was never just kicking the ball in the back of the net that i loved. it was the people. this game gave me friendships that i’ll never forgot, from being the baby freshman in the backseat going to practice with the seniors, to somehow becoming those seniors and saying goodbye to my sophomores. to everyone on this team, i love you guys with my whole heart. this year was so different than any other year, but i have never felt so much love from a team. im so beyond thankful to the Lord for these friendships and memories i’ll never forget.

sid, i’m the most sad when i think about the fact that ill never play soccer with you again. thank you for being better than me, and always competing with me for the best spot. you fought through hell and back to be able to play this year. i’m so happy we got one more year together. my other half for forever

gracie, caroline, sophie, i love you guys so much. i couldn’t imagine playing with anybody else

addy, lyla, im so happy we become best friends through this sport. little seventh grade me was so terrified of not knowing anyone on the varsity team. but when i started talking to you guys, i had no idea what the next six years would bring.

this team was so much more than a field and a ball, im forever grateful i got to be a part of it. thank you reitz soccer
