šŸ’•Dear Diary,
When we don’t try, we miss out 100% of the time.

I think it’s important to give your all in every aspect of your life.

So many times in my life, I feel like I’ve held myself back because I fear uncertainty or misinterpret discomfort as something negative that we should avoid.

I’ve put so many rules around my life as if it were productive, and lately I’ve realized they’ve only kept me from truly being myself and living fully.

When protecting my ego and avoiding discomfort starts to take away from how I actually want to show up, is it really worth staying guarded?

I think we focus too much on labels, rules, and social scripts to feel safer amid life’s unavoidable uncertainties.

We can’t control others or outcomes, but we can control ourselves and how we show up each day, and labels provide a false sense of security while ripping us away from what’s real.

I think in the era of social media, so many people feel pressure to protect their ego because, in a way, they tie it to their reputation.

But a reputation rooted in authenticity and an unwavering desire to always be kind will take you much further than the one you have to hide behind.

Now I see that in the pursuit of growth and success, I don’t have to compromise myself; I just need to learn how to alchemize what I already have into what’s next.

Life is hard, confusing, and sometimes quite messy… but how we handle the chaos will determine the character I develop.

Don’t let fear run your life so much that it makes you lose sight of who you are and how you want to interact with the world.

Guardedness is common, not normal.

Why normalize survival when we were biologically designed to live?

To live is to risk, and to risk is to feel, and while that may seem scary at times, that is the whole point of our lives.

We may never know what tomorrow will bring, but we can decide how willing we are to enjoy today.

XOXO ~LJšŸ’‹

JUST BEFORE WE SAID ā€œI DOā€ šŸšā¤ļø

I’ve noticed that while dating is fun, it can also brush up against my fears of inadequacy.

It can feel hard to admit that out loud too, because I feel like saying it somehow makes me seem insecure, when in reality it just makes me human.

I hate that we’ve normalized this mentality that we always have to feel sure in ourselves to be secure because security is determined by what we choose to do with our feelings.

When I feel inadequate, I don’t ignore it or distract myself from the uncomfortable thoughts; I ask myself where it comes from.

Why do I feel insecure in this way?
What am I afraid of?

It comes down to this… I’m not in a place in my life yet where I feel fully sure of who I am all the time.

I feel like so many aspects of me are still a work in progress, and while on a regular day that can feel like no big deal, sometimes it highlights the gap between where I am now and who I’m still becoming.

Why do I feel like I have to be completely ā€œat the topā€ in order to feel worthy of connection?

I know in my heart that we heal through connections, not alone, but we have to choose the path of growth in order for that change to happen.

Feelings of inadequacy can easily turn into toxic patterns when you don’t allow yourself to sit with and process them.

But that’s why it’s important, because at the root of these feelings is me.

Now all my energy and focus goes toward building a high quality life for myself so that my positive energy attracts someone who also craves peace and happiness.

Being stable isn’t about having it figured out all the time; it’s about being willing to sit in the discomfort of your thoughts long enough to come out the other side more grounded, healed, and enthusiastic toward your life journey.

XOXO ~LJšŸ’‹

āļøDear Diary,
Ambition without structure is a breeding ground for anxiety.

We don’t talk enough about how important it is to update our internal systems.

When we rely on certain structures in life, they can boost productivity, but because life is always fluctuating, the same system that once worked can start to harm us if we don’t learn to adapt it to the new reality we live in.

This is true from hitting our task goals to deeper internal work.

Sometimes holding onto the boundaries we had to put up to survive becomes the exact limitation that keeps us from the life we truly want.

Lately, as things in my life have grown and expanded, it has forced me into problem-solving situations I’m not accustomed to, and when I don’t create some kind of routine in my everyday life, it really causes me to slow down and shut down from feeling disorganized.

As I settle back into my day to day after NYFW, I’m I a state of resetting and making a game plan for what’s to come next while finding joy in the process of my becoming.

XOXO ~LJšŸ’‹
