Bello Woods- Macomb, MI

A public golf course on the East Side that features 27 holes of mediocrity. Let’s talk about it!

Macomb County continues to disappoint in the golf world and unfortunately Bellow Woods fits like a glove. There isn’t much of a description for this one because there’s just not much to it. Time to jump right into the pros and cons of the experience.

Pros:
Greens and tee boxes were actually in respectable shape.
A fine course to practice your game. Pretty much every hole is straight from tee to green.

Cons:
Layout across the property is terribly boring and flat out dangerous. The fairways run insanely tight together and there are multiple greens and tee boxes stacking on top of each other. You legitimately need to be on lookout at all times.
The fairways and bunkers were pretty lifeless. Just not much to look forward to here.

I don’t want to kill them, let’s get into the dessert of the review. The official star rating out of 5 stars for Bellow Woods:

Course Conditions-⭐️⭐️
Course layout- ⭐️
Course presentation- (green fees, practice area, pace of play, service, carts, cart paths, etc.) ⭐️.5

That puts Bellow Woods at 1.5 overall. A hideous score and unfortunately the worst rated course I’ve done yet.

Have you played it? Where should I hit next?
