$@bellvillyoga Gomukhasana ⁣ ⁣ Cow Face Pose⁣ ⁣ Day 17: #30DayStrikeAPoseYoga ⁣ ⁣ July 17 friends! ⁣ ⁣ Do you that the meaning of Go is cow and Mukha literally means Face. Of course, asana is posture or seat.⁣ ⁣ Just like our Language Tagalog. It’s astonishing, right? ⁣ ⁣ In India and Nepal, cows are considered sacred and mother cows are referred to aghyna or ‘that which may not be slaughtered’, adhering to the philosophical aspect of ‘Ahimsa’ or non-harming. This has been in so many yogic texts. ⁣ ⁣ Being a vegan and a practitioner of yoga just brought so much harmony in my own personal practice. Especially the non-harming part. It applies to all beings, how you treat yourself, others and the animals. ⁣ ⁣ Well, this pose requires a lot of patience and control to your breath. It may look easy, but when I first tried, the pain was sharp on my knees. So if you are like this, sit on a bolster/pillow to elevate hips and that should help lessen the pain, if not then come out of the pose and just criss cross the shins in front (easy seated posture). ⁣ ⁣ But let’s hope it will work out for you. 😘⁣ ⁣ 13 more days friends! If you still want to take the challenge, C,mon join us! It is never too late. Post your smile in a yoga pose to the internet world! Hala sya, join the fun. 😊 ⁣ ⁣ When you post your pic/vid; use hashtag #30DayStrikeAPoseYoga and TAG me and your friends, share the love. That’s it! ⁣ ⁣ The mother cow but not so sacred, ⁣ Belle 💚⁣ ⁣ Follow us and Tag @veganyogafeature to be featured!!!💚☺️⁣ Use our hashtag🥰 ⁣ ⁣ ______________\______________⁣ #yogapracticenotyogaperfect ⁣ #yoga #afteryogaglow #yogaeverydamnday #yogaposes #practiceandalliscoming #yogischoice #meditation #yogisofinstagram #veganyogi #yogaeverywhere #yogateacher #community #govegan #selfcare #love #yogisofinstagram #salambasirsasana #headstand #backbend #urdvhadhanurasana #downwardfacingdog #vasisthasana #hanumanasana #selflove #bherundasana #yogaflow #yogatutorial #goddess #tree$
