FL RULES 2026 WAS LEGENDARY. This is one of the most important (and most fun) weekends for the Florida scene every year, but this year the energy was truly on ten.
First and foremost, a huge shout-out to @aflamestillburns for keeping this festival rolling for yet another year and doing a great job at it. I could rant all day about Thom’s impact on both myself and the scene as a whole, but for the kids who don’t know, I can sum it up with this: all of your favorite promoters in Florida look up to Thom and there’s a good reason why. The respect runs deep for real.

Booking aside though, there are also many other individuals deserving of thanks. I’m grateful to The Noise Box for having me as part of their team; truly so inspiring to work with a venue that I grew up going to shows at and that helped me become the person I am today. Thanks to Justin for giving me a chance, Thom S. for the hospitality, Lori for baking cupcakes to brighten up everyone’s day, and all of the other awesome staff and volunteers there for being real as hell. Their new room is absolutely maniacal and I hope I get to put something in there eventually.

Last but not least, I wanna congratulate Ash of Coffin Collective on hosting one of the largest and most interesting markets I’ve seen at a show. Putting together vendors is one thing as a promoter that still intimidates me, but they handle it with grace and ease. Thank you, and all the vendors of course, for bringing another facet of the conmunity to this event.

I already said “last but not least” but obviously I’m gonna thank the bands too. I didn’t see one bad set all weekend. Florida is truly something else, and I will forever flex it anytime I get to. From 2016 in The Hole In The Wall to 2026 in the *new* “big room”, this festival encapsulates everything I love about this scene, and I can’t wait for next year.

Keep going to shows!
