The highlight from UTA 2026 ❤️⛰️

Big thanks to my super crew Nik, Adam and Brody. Having you guys out there meant a lot and made a massive difference throughout the whole day.

Special thanks to @thegillygoat for the coaching, support, and patience throughout the journey. Appreciate all the guidance and for putting up with me along the way 🤗🙌

And a huge thanks to my number one @wildearthaustralia for helping with gear, nutrition and the race tickets. Honestly, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the team behind me ❤️

The Blue Mountains were brutal and such a beautiful place. So many good moments out there. It somehow left me wanting more, more experience, more adventure and more reasons to come back stronger.

A massive thanks as well to all the volunteers, the community, and everyone who was out there cheering and supporting us. You brought so much energy 🙏😊

10 years ago I was on the start line of Ironman New Zealand with a pretty good crew including the Mayor of Taupō himself, Cameron Brown.

Fast forward a decade and the goal posts have shifted slightly.

Tomorrow I’m lining up for Peaks Challenge in Falls Creek.
235km. 4,500m of climbing. A big day out in the hills with thousands of other questionable decision makers.

While every other retired pro seems to be doing Hyrox, I’ve gone the other direction and decided that riding my bike up mountains for 8+ hours sounded like a better life choice.

This one kicks off the build toward Ironman 70.3 Cairns (M40-44) so consider this the opening chapter of the “let’s see if the old diesel engine still works” campaign. Pray for me.

Conquered myself and Peaks Challenge 2026

235km.
4700m climbing.
2300 people all questioning their life choices at some point

12 months ago I set this goal because I’d gotten a bit too comfortable and needed a solid kick up the chamois. It’s comparable to an Ironman. Highly recommend popping it on your bucket list.

Balancing business, dad life, and training is now at a place where it’s sustainable. Small daily habits were the key I was looking for.

Biggest win through all of this? The people. Good humans around you doing the work too. This wasn’t just a ride it was a shared journey with mates and it doesn’t stop here.

Now we trade bike legs for swim-bike-run action with IRONMAN 70.3 Cairns in 3 months.

I’ll be lining up with my team mates @the.cupcake.cartel 👊

And… something new is coming: @cartel.coaching launches in April.

We’re building a triathlon coaching + community platform based on the exact habits, structure and mindset that got me here. Simple. Sustainable. Accessible to all. Lead by a team of experienced coaches and athletes.

A fresh, more modern way to approach coaching and we can’t wait to show you.

Stay tuned.

Only 2 more weeks of longer rides before Peaks Challenge and then it’s full gas into triathlon training for 70.3 Cairns. Who else is heading to Cairns?

The past month I’ve had some of the most enjoyable moments training in a while. Surrounded by quality people. This week is the start of a new chapter as we get my new @quintanarootri VPRi TT bike built. Standby if you like shiny new things that go vroom vroom 🚲 💨
