Happy to once again share that I've joined many other local Island businesses - big and small - in sponsoring the @iowredsquirreltrust 2027 calendar.

With stunning photos of our bushy tailed friends, taken by talented photographers, it makes a lovely postable gift.

Every calendar sold directly supports the vital work of The Isle of Wight Red Squirrel Trust, every day is a good day to celebrate red squirrels.

Head over to their website to purchase one.

A massive shout-out is owed to everyone involved in breathing new life into Bembridge Fort over on the east of the island. For years, this formidable Victorian Palmerston folly sat vulnerable to the elements and vandalism, a hidden architectural giant locked away from the public. Thanks to the sheer dedication of the Bembridge Fort Trust, the National Trust and an army of passionate volunteers, historians and local supporters, this historic landmark is experiencing an extraordinary renaissance. Through tireless fundraising, including vital support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and unmatched community spirit, the fort is being carefully conserved. We know it's a little bit of trek over from the west, but it is truly worth the journey! From stabilizing its structure to transforming its vaulted underground spaces into unique cultural and performance venues, this dynamic project is a triumph. Cheers to all those working behind the scenes to preserve its legacy and reconnect the community with its rich history. @bembridgefort @eventurecollectiveuk https://www.bembridgefort.org/

🏆✨ What a night for Island business!

The IW Chamber Business Awards 2026 brought the Island’s business community together at the spectacular @bembridgefort for an unforgettable evening of celebration. 🥂

Hosted by the brilliant @vanouten_denise, the Awards recognised the businesses, organisations and individuals whose hard work, ambition, innovation and commitment continue to make a real contribution to the Isle of Wight.

From the anticipation as the envelopes were opened to the celebrations that followed, it was a truly special evening celebrating the very best of Island business. 🎉

A huge congratulations once again to all of our winners and finalists, and thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a fantastic atmosphere. 👏

We’d also like to say a very special thank you to all of our sponsors. Your support makes the Awards possible and demonstrates a real commitment to celebrating and championing the Island’s business community.

📸 Keep an eye on our socials — the official Awards photos are coming soon!

Here’s to the businesses, the people and the achievements that made the IW Chamber Business Awards 2026 a night to remember. 🏆✨

Finals night! ✨

A little get-ready-with-me, a lot of nerves, one very lovely evening at @bembridgefort … and a pudding I was far too anxious to eat until my category had been announced 😂

I was shortlisted for the Creative Impact Award for the publications I was commissioned to create for @islandnature_iow - a nature recovery project I absolutely loved working on, so to be recognised for it felt pretty special.

I got to spend the evening with my brilliant friend Claire from @thecommonspaceiw alongside loads of other wonderful Island businesses, with @vanouten_denise hosting the night for the @iwchamber 🕺

Did I win? Nope. (Many congratulations to @robertson_foster 👏 👏) But to be shortlisted in the first place felt like a massive win for my little business. 💛
