Codgers
Seen Some Things #1

First time on a party boat you think it’s about the fish.

After a while you realize it’s about the people.

The deckhands who run the rail like surgeons.
The quiet old guy & charming mature woman who always seems to hook up first.
The kid catching his first fish while everyone cheers.

A real Codger knows what’s up…

You don’t have to talk much.
Just give the chin nod.

Respect the ocean.
Respect (TIP) the crew.
Respect the people learning.
Laugh easy.

The fish will come.

Chin nod if you know.

Thank you to the crew on the Seawatch & “Young Codger” James for helping me haul in my first yellowtail. You wouldn’t believe the story, but Rusty said he’s never seen anything like it😩James sees my line caught in the prop as my fish is tearing off…he cuts my line while deckhand holds the line w/ fish on the other end. J runs over with my rod, take hold of the line and re-ties while holding both lines!! Hands it back to me like it’s nothing. Local boat helps untangle my fish & delivers it to us. My classic rookie) Codger blunders enabled the entire story. Appreciate the hospitality fellas👊🏽 #yellowtail #partyboat #sandiego #fishing #fishinglife

99 years ago, I met Jeff Townes, aka @djjazzyjeff (thx @bemostprolific) when I was working on “B-Balls Best Kept Secret” this crazy idea for an album with NBA players rapping. The album was “certified wood,” I think I bought more copies than anyone else but Jeff and I became friends. We bonded over NBA Live, hip hop, and all the crazy stuff that goes on in the record biz. That friendship and those conversations we had? They’re the backbone of Creators Union.

Back in the mid-90s, we had all sorts of wild ideas about where the music industry was headed and how the internet could change everything. Now, it’s finally time to make those ideas a reality. At Creators Union, we want to help creators, DJs, and producers find their passion and make a living doing what they love. It sounds simple, but for some folks, it can feel like a real battle both internally and externally

If you’ve got a creative spark, a way to get on the internet and you’re curious about how web3, AI, and building an intentional community can help you out, come check us out. We’re opening our doors soon, and we’d love for you to hang with us for a bit.
