About the artists:
Ludovic Tézier is acknowledged as one of the world’s leading baritones of our days. Following his studies in Marseille and Paris, he celebrated his first successes in Lucerne, Toulouse, and Lyon, from where his international career took off. Since then, he has been established as a guest at the world’s leading opera stages, such as the Metropolitan Opera New York, the Vienna State Opera, the Opéra National de Paris, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, La Scala Milan, the Liceu Barcelona, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, the Royal Opera House in London, the Bavarian State Opera Munich, as well as at the Salzburg Easter and Summer Festivals, the Festival of Aix-en-Provence, the Chorégies d’Orange, the Savonlinna Opera Festival, and the Arena di Verona Opera Festival. Bryan Wagorn:
Canadian-American pianist Bryan Wagorn serves as Assistant Conductor at The Metropolitan Opera. He has appeared on such television and radio stations as Good Morning America, WQXR and CBC Radio. He regularly performs with the Met Chamber Ensemble in concerts at Carnegie Hall and performed as pianist in the Met’s Grammy-winning productions of Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess” and Blanchard’s “Fire Shut Up in my Bones” and “Champion”. He recently performed the role of pianist Boleslao Lazinski onstage at the Metropolitan Opera in their 2023 production of Giordano’s Fedora directed by David McVicar, the role having been last performed by Jean-Yves Thibaudet. Chocolate Budino at The Wardroom.

This one is for the serious chocolate people.

It starts with 65% Maracaibo chocolate from Felchlin, set into a silky Italian budino.

There’s a crisp cocoa nib chocolate shell on top and chocolate crumb for crunch.

Crème chantilly softens it, and orange supremes with a little olive oil keep it from getting too heavy.

Rich, deep and very satisfying.

Usually it’s beef. Here it’s done the Eastern Shore Maryland way, with a crab cake encased in scallop mousseline.
