We hosted our annual year end banquet this evening for our players, staff, volunteers, billets, families and fans.

We also had the chance to honour our 7 20 year olds who are graduating junior hockey. Thank you Tyler Guy, Owen Sparkes, Reese Allen, Philippe Fauchon, Zachary Marquis, Andyn Furmidge and Ben De Jonge for your contributions to the Bearcat organization and the town of Truro! Unfortunately, Ben had to get back home to Montreal and couldn’t join us tonight.

Zach Marquis took home our MacQuarries 3 Stars Award as well as the Will Sutherland Memorial Scholarship.

Thank you to all our great fans for sticking with us. We’re already looking forward to next year! #teamfirsT

And with that the 2024-2025 season has come to an end as well as my time with the Fredericton Red Wings I have had the privilege of calling myself a Red Wing for the past two seasons but God is clearly leading me in a different direction there are two many wonderful memories and pictures I could use but here are some of my favourites I will never forget my time here as a wing and all the wonderful friendships I’ve made here and still have I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me next. Thank you Jesus for bringing me to the Red Wings oh Lord I just really want to praise you you mean everything to me because you gave me one more day to say I love you you have brought me all this way to testify of grace what more can I say but hallelujah thank you Jesus cause you gave me one more day.

Over the next week leading up to playoffs, we would like to recognize our 7 20 year olds who will be graduating after this season.

First up, Ben De Jonge from Montreal, Quebec.

After a season and a half split between Campbellton and Fredericton, we acquired Ben in the final hour before the trade deadline this year. After leading the Red Wings with 31 points in 32 games, he joined the Bearcats and added some offensive flair to our group putting up 15 points , culminating with a hat trick last night in his final regular season game.

Coach Jon Greenwood had this to say on De Jonge “Ben was a big addition to our team at the deadline when looking to add some offensive punch. He’s done that and more, showing us a mature, well rounded game.”

Thanks Ben for your contributions to the Bearcat organization and the town of Truro! #teamfirsT

Year 3 of hockey fights cancer in the books this year it hit a little close to home with one of our own in the middle of a battle with cancer but I believe that God has here in the palm of his hand. I still believe in your holy word I still believe in your faithfulness even when I can’t see I still believe.
