P16 at PUMP TRACK WORLDS🇨🇳

I slipped a pedal in my round of 16 and struggled to get my foot back on, which led to a shitty lap💩and dropped me to p16. such a shame🤦‍♂️

but I still happy to make my first top 16 and finish without injury!

it’s sad to see the fast riders around my age slowly stepping away. maybe i’m getting too old to take on the young guns, and i know i’m probably not going to improve enough to reach the very top!

but i’m grateful to @pumptrackworlds for the opportunity to keep challenging myself like this, and for all the new people i’ve met along the way!

thanks everyone! hope to see you guys next year! 🤘

パンプトラック世界選は決勝ラウンド1回戦敗退で最終16位でした！(men's 55人中)
ペダルから足踏みはずしてしまい、かなり残念な走りになってしまいました🤦‍♂️
もう少し順位上げれたと思うので悔しいですが、初予選通過し怪我もなく終われたので、まぁ良しとします！

年々同じ世代の速いライダーも辞めていき、悲しい気持ちもありますが、こうして世界に挑戦できる機会があることを嬉しく思います！

今の所また来年も挑戦したいと思っている。

✨Velosolutions UCI World Championships 2026 in Bejing, China🌍🌈✨

Wow…what a week🥹! P23 it is for this year! Maybe the result could have been better but to be honest, I am super happy with it❤️!

I had so much fun on this great @velosolutions Pumptrack and also got used to the towers, which I‘m very proud of myself!🥹

I couldn’t thank @velosolutions and @pumptrackworlds enough for such a great week!❤️
I had so much fun on and off my bike💕, met so many great people🥹, gained new experiences and did a loooot of funny sidequests😂

Thanks to everyone who made this week so special❤️

Can’t wait to see you all again next year❤️

23rd IN THE WORLD. 1st IN THE HEARTS OF THE PEOPLE. ❤️

Some would call me The People’s Champion, but I’ve never been one for titles. I’m far too humble for that.

Absolutely stoked to receive the Spirit of Pump Track Award at the World Championships!

An award recognising the rider who best embodies the spirit of pump track racing, passion, sportsmanship, enthusiasm and apparently being an absolute clown on the international stage.

I’ve always believed winning isn’t everything. Which is fortunate, because 22 other riders clearly had different plans.

Massive thanks to the Velosolutions Organising Committee for recognising something in me that the stopwatch clearly couldn’t.

Congratulations to everyone who raced. Sure, some of you were faster, but did you capture the hearts and minds of the people? 😂

And while we’re celebrating the important things in life…

WHO DOESN’T LOVE BJ?? ❤️

I certainly couldn’t get enough of it.

I explored things that were forbidden, found myself up a Great Wall, and pushed my physical limits in ways I hadn’t quite anticipated.

It started with plenty of excitement and confidence, but halfway through things got hard. By the time I’d finished, I was dripping with sweat, my legs were trembling and I was completely spent.

BJ was everything I’d hoped for. Hot, sweaty, physically demanding and left me with a huge smile on my face.

Would I go back for another round? Absolutely. Although I might need to work on my stamina first. 😂

Seriously though, what an incredible experience. Amazing people, great racing, plenty of laughs and memories that will last a lifetime.

Huge thanks to everyone who supported me, cheered me on and put up with my nonsense along the way.

As for the award, I promise it won’t change me. I’ll remain the same modest, approachable, slightly delusional idiot I’ve always been.

Please respect my privacy as I adjust to the enormous responsibility of being a role model to literally dozens of people.
