Hospital Day 137/🫀Waitlist Day 120:Walker’s Heart Transplant Journey

What.A.Day 🥹💛

The @thesavbananas made Walker’s dreams come true today and showed up for him in a big way. 14 of the guys came to the hospital to hang with Walker where they had an epic pack rip session with @cardvaultbytombrady, played catch and turned the hospital rooftop into batting practice. Walker got to hand out his bracelets, shirts and signs he made and it was an all-around incredible day. Watching Walker get to meet athletes and teams he loves, admires and cheers for has been such a bright light throughout this journey, but it’s seeing the impact Walker has on the people he meets that is so mind-blowing to me. Walker has SO many people cheering him on, there’s no other words to say but thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving Walker these happy joy-filled moments that truly keep us going during such a long, hard journey while we continue to wait for his miracle heart. GO BANANAS!

Hospital Day 101/🫀Waitlist Day 84: Walker’s Heart Transplant Journey

On yesterday’s recap, I mentioned how we’ve met lots of incredible people over the last 100 days. Well, today we got to welcome back and spend more time with the best of the best people who we are so grateful to now count as friends. @itschriscosta and his @cardvaultbytombrady team came by, brought some new @pokemontcg Pitch Black and @topps Chrome Baseball to rip, Walker FaceTimed with Aaron Judge(🤯) and then he opened a Pokémon pack and pulled his own ‘Walker the Heart Warrior’ Trainee card in it 😭 Walker signed his 1 of 1, said “Sleeve It” too many times to count and it was an 11/10 core memory type of day ♥️🥹 Your kindness, generosity and genuine thoughtfulness is mind-blowing, thank you all for bringing so much joy to Walker’s world ♥️

The rest of the day included some Seacrest Studio fun and then it was time for Walker’s PICC line dressing change, but “we can do hard things” 💪🏻

Kennedy and McCoy enjoyed their new favorite playground with Ava, and Brian and I managed to sneak out this morning for breakfast while Walker had his tutor. Today was a really, really good day🫶🏻
