Last weekend, Mr. Ben Leyman had the pleasure of delivering the final guest lecture of the University of Brussels’ Expert Class in Cycling Management @expertclassvub during their study trip to Barcelona, on the occasion of the start of @letourdefrance .

It was a great interactive session on the legal landscape of professional cycling and rider transfers. Are we heading towards a football-style transfer system? And if so, would that be a positive development?

We also explored the relationship between the UCI Regulations and Belgian law, as well as the potential impact of the Diarra ruling on the future of rider transfers.

Many thanks to Jos Verschueren, @pelotom__ & @deranterpieter for the trust and the opportunity to contribute to this inspiring programme.

And thank you to all the participants for being such a great audience. Wishing you all the best and much success in your future careers.

Curious to learn more? Feel free to get in touch.

The guys at A&J All Sports @aej_allsports and I are ready for the second Monument of the 2026 season. My favorite @rondevanvlaanderen because here in Belgium the fans are unique and transmit their passion to all the athletes, from the first to the last. Our race will be today and tomorrow with 8 meetings with the teams. @ben_leyman @sabbearne @gloriavanmechelen #aejallsports #rondevanvlaanderen #belgium #belgiumcycling
