NEW YORK, PART TWO 🗽❤️

I realized something about this trip.

My New York isn’t really a place.

It’s people.

It’s watching the incomparable GeriAnne in Operation Mincemeat and getting to celebrate her backstage afterward.

It’s seeing Titanique and my dear friend Constantine. I was there almost 10 years ago when Titanique was first coming to life. I’ve watched it grow through every stage and every version, so sitting there and seeing what Constantine and this incredible team have created was one of those full circle moments I’ll never forget. I could not be prouder.

It’s Salisha, a beautiful Broadway talent, a close friend, and someone who means so much to me that one of the great honors of my life was officiating her wedding.

It’s Preston, my dear friend currently in The Great Gatsby. His story, his journey and the way he continues to chase his dreams inspire me more than he probably knows. Getting to see him living those dreams makes me incredibly happy.

It’s Rachel and somehow realizing we have been friends for 34 YEARS. We have known so many versions of each other and lived through so many chapters of life. There is something incredibly special about a friendship with that much history. Still here. Still us. ❤️

It’s Winston, an incredible man and one of those people I am simply grateful life brought into mine.

It’s Ben, the man behind Benji’s Buns, proving that some of the best friendships also come with a completely unreasonable amount of frosting.

And through the shows, backstage visits, reunions, laughter, hugs and memories, there was Adam, right beside me experiencing it all.

That’s my New York.

Not the skyline.
Not Times Square.
Not even Broadway.

The people. Always the people. ❤️

I like big buns! And @benjis.buns are the best! Was so lucky to try their three new flavors. And of course, the three OG’s. Here’s the lineup:
🍥Rice Krispy
🍥Carmel Pear Crisp
🍥Guava Cheesecake
🍥Lotus Biscoff
🍥Vanilla Frosted
🍥Original Glazed

Thanks for having me.
Which are you trying first?

Fork and knife? Never. Benji of @benjisbunsnyc breaks down why cinnamon rolls are a hands-only food, walks us through this week’s flavors (espresso martini, lotus biscoff, black forest cake), and talks about why NYC needed a spot dedicated to cinnamon rolls.
