MERCURY RETROGRADE IN PISCES:
REFLECTION + INTEGRATION

On Thursday, Mercury stations retrograde in Pisces until March 20. This transit calls for careful communication and deep inner reflection. Dreams, intuition, and messages from the subconscious are heightened.

This is a good time to meditate, write poetry, introspect, and pay attention to whatever unexpected thoughts or old friends arrive with serendipity. It’s also the perfect few weeks for integrating any new energies that have arrived. The powerful astrology of late has been initiating fresh stories, which deserve integration.

In the midst of eclipse season, this Mercury retrograde holds particular karmic potency. However, we may struggle to stay focused as distractions, memories, and nostalgia easily pull us off track.

Navigating travel and technology is especially challenging now. Mercury is both in detriment and fall in Pisces and much prefers retreat over technical precision. We’re revisiting plans and commitments rather than pushing forward. It’s important to carefully review agreements, contracts, and plans before moving ahead. Sessa :: Pequena Vertigem de Amor

Translating to “Lil’ Love Vertigo,” Sessa takes his listeners on a vibrant voyage across poetic plains and exotic ecosystems laced with breathtaking views and stimulating sights. Where ancient waterfalls flow in reverse, “Pequena Vertigem de Amor” effortlessly shifts into this intimate identity that endlessly echoes the results of a thousand eyes and ears simultaneously stimulated by the atmospheric abyss, and its concern for contemplation.

Across the album’s 9 tracks, an almost translucent temptation on the senses begins to emerge from the depths of its compelling core, while simultaneously flooding the fundamentals of romance and reality with an esoteric energy similar to the lyrical legacies of Mário Rui Silva, Guilherme Coutinho, and George Semper, to name a few.

Featuring tracks like “Nome de Deus,” “Planta Santa,” “Revolução Interior,” and “Roupa Dos Mortos,” Sessa embraces the world past his fingertips, while balancing the rhythms and tonal textures of a multi-instrumental reality steeped in traditional sound, and the harmonious hunger for something lucid and intimately intelligent.

Ben Styer’s current exhibition at @shrine.nyc assembles a constellation of painted memories and symbols that feel both deeply personal and strangely familiar. In “Little Music Box Stories,” the L.A.-based painter layers acrylic-on-canvas works with folk motifs, souvenir ephemera, and poetic fragments.

Across pieces like Marriage and Desktop Hero, the show evokes the joy of desktop clutter and the nostalgia of keepsakes. Each painting feels like an open drawer of personal mythology, with meaning unfolding over time.
