Another season hanging with friends and having fun in a tire shop. Shoutout to the amazing people who knowingly brought me back with conditions I had to leave work twice a week a couple hours to continue my rehabilitation being freshly broke. We went through two god damn blizzards, freezing temperatures, drunken west chester students and whatever other element thrown at us but we did it again.

I wrapped my first feature in New York this past week, and I have so much to be thankful for!!🩷 When I moved here in August, I had no idea what to expect for my first big project. How lucky was I to work alongside this wonderful AD team!!! and finding out I was going to get to work on a movie with Robert Zemeckis was unbelievable. Truly, I got to learn from and work with the greatest ❤️ I have all the love in my heart for each and every person who made this such a special one!! From our songs of the day and dancing, to working all around New Jersey, I will never forget the work that was put into this one. Thank you all and hopefully see you very soon🫶🏼

Count it down, people. The Beast In Me on @netflix This was a fun one to prop with a stellar, top notch cast to make our work shine. I’m grateful for the prop team on this one: Abariss, Tess, Colleen, Will, Ryan, Hector, Rae, Erin and the other Erin too, Shawn, Ana and Tommy. You all made it happen. IN NJ!! Thank you a million times over. Shout out to Camillo at Cars4Film and @alltameanimals for all the fun with dogs. That was a ride for sure…. And another thanks to @imdb for creating a NEW Property Department category. We’re emerging from under the Art Dept umbrella. Prop work is very hard and absolutely crucial to a successful movie or show. We deserve our category! 🏆 @_thepmg @imdbpro

Building in 2025. ✨ Many thanks to Robyn Watson for giving an exceptional technique workshop as part of the second annual “Rhythm & Reason: A Tap Dance Symposium” I organized last week at Ursinus College. And, thanks as well to the lovely folks who joined (and who were invited but couldn’t make) a small virtual dreaming/ strategy development chat I hosted for millennial-aged tap artists interested in designing resource infrastructure(s) for those in the form. 💫 Started this week by spending three days in process with @kaleenamiller who is building a new work out of the Deep Listening practice she’s been certified and engaged in for almost five years now. Always an honor to ride along for part of the journey and hang in MPLS.

Here is an art installation that Benae Beamon, Carlton Mackey and myself created in the Marriott Marquis located in Atlanta Georgia. This installation sheds light on vacant and abandoned properties and how through community involvement these properties can be responsibly revitalized back into homes for families. Each of the three artist played a specific role in bringing this project to life. Benae danced continuously for three days symbolizing not only the persistent work that goes into community development, but also the life these properties once had and can have again. Carlton's video is of people in the community and them sharing their thoughts on gentrification and community development. I built the structure and did a lot of organizing. The structure is built of clear glass and the videos are projected onto this clear surface. All attendees to this exhibition were invited to write their thoughts onto the glass. As the glass walls started to fill up with writings, the video projection became more and more clear. The more community involvement there is, the better the needs of the community are met. Special thanks to Brantley Simmons and everyone else that helped bring this vision to life.
