🍁Happy Autumn 🎃

I started this year with @_xavacado_ at @vudurecordings recording the new @healturn.li record with @frankmitaritonna. It was a great experience working there and getting as much accomplished as we did. Frank is an excellent talent and a pleasure to work with.

In Feb and March work with @mwendo started to pick up more traction and we've been playing steadily since, with our next shows being the Caribbean Jazz Festival on 9/15 and a private masquerade ball this month.

I taught myself viola in April to join an orchestra with @jennsonesen the next week and since then have been picking up more session work on fine strings which has been super exciting and fun creatively to push myself.

Most of the Mwendo pictures above are from the summer where we've been playing festivals such as the International African Arts Festival, and Carnival last week. A big thank you to @apacartsco for putting this band together and being the greatest supporters of us this whole time, we love you all (ykwya)

I also started playing with @themonapassage a few months ago and played the coolest place called TV Eye which is my last picture. It's been great learning their music and getting to play with such skilled musicians. Big ups to @bonafiderojas

And here we are today, 9/5 where I am far busier than I would have expected to be last year, with plenty more accomplished. One of my students even made first chair in her orchestra and I couldn't be prouder.

I'm going to try and at least post monthly from now on, the weight of 'having to post all the time' has finally burned me out lol, I've been relearning how to have fun and that means being me and more of myself so I included some cute nature photos I took. I'm going to Ireland next month, so at least I can confirm an October post haha.
