s l o o o w thingssss

One of our favorite slow things is the process of raising tobacco. This time of year, we’re topping, cutting, and housing it in the barn to cure. It takes time. Always has.

Without realizing it, we were already taking part in the idea behind Michael Thompson’s “Slow Things.” The same work, the same patience. This time, some of that tobacco made its way from the barn to an exhibit in the city.

Come see “Slow Things” Friday 10/9
1400 Clay Street in Cincinnati

Kings Farmula crew will be there from 5:30- 8

Come Hang out, connect with your community, and just slowwwww down.

A rainy day on the farm.

We set out to get a lay of the land, prepare for the rest of this year and our secret event this fall.

The rain keeps everything quieter, greener, and super lush. It’s necessary for the health of a farm, it’s an important part of growth and revitalization. A Heffer new to the farm hasn’t seen much rain You can see how she’s experiencing it for the first time.

Rain or shine farmers still show up, and the world keeps moving.

No coast opening night was a wild success. If you missed it, you can stop by and see the show on the corner of race + Elder by the entrance to Findlay market until May 3. I was blown away by all the cool furniture and home decor pieces that our students, alumni, faculty + local designers showed last night. What a blast. #makers #furniture #design #textiles @uc_daap @daap_design . don’t die wondering .

We’re having King Farms burgers, @ale8one & @grippochipco up around the corner from Findlay Market this Saturday ..right by old Elder/Goose…actually, follow the smell lollol

Right now, it’s looking sunny and 55°… basically perfect Findlay weather.

When you grab a burger, make sure you pick up some local produce from a farmer at @findlaymarket . If not, at least go get a @littlekingsbeer from @aka_john_pork

Also… it’s Opening Day weekend. Go Red Legs! @reds
