New song out today!

….well, kind of new. Most of “Make Some Miss Some” was actually recorded back in 2019. Finding the finishing touches was a project that got picked up and put down again several times over the next 5 years but I think we finally got it to where it wants to be. A huge shoutout to @rachelgawellburns as her impact on this track is immense as you will hear. Available now everywhere, link in bio.

Please follow @centralplains -— ‘It’s Amusing, It’s Confusing’ - EP -— releasing = October 4th, 2023.

I’m super hyped for @nikwestman @michael.bambino @paulorbellmusic and Sean Wiggins. I’ve only heard snippets of the new songs, but I can attest they are FACE MELTING ROCK songs.

I’m getting nostalgic over here for my old band. Many of you know, before I moved to Seoul, I was a long term collaborator with CP, especially on the 2 full length records in 2018 & 2021. Both records were recorded in my studio space in LIC, NYC. ‘Commuter’ (2018) has a song called ‘NYC Man’, which Nik’s unmistakable NYC song. Especially for me - this song is powerful - with lines about my father’s death @petescandystore open mic. It has a @bendobay saxophone part that (for me) rivals all the great echoey sax parts heard in rock songs about NYC (myth) - THINK: Glenn Frey’s ‘You Belong to the City’.

So, Follow CP! I’m so happy for Nik and the band.
