🍃BUZANGA WEEKEND 🍃

It was pure joy to celebrate with @buzangabooks its first annual kids community festival for the children who patronize the learning space and library.

Libraries will continue to remain relevant despite the advancement of digital media. Reading plays a key role in a child’s development. A library's ability to spark a child's creativity, curiosity, and sense of freedom extends far beyond its physical walls.

Despite the many challenges faced by @buzangabooks, they continue to create a welcoming, safe, and fun space for children to have access to information.

Please support @buzangabooks (a community library) by donating books so they can continue to spread the joy of reading.

Thank you @kwamewrite for the invitation ❤️

Sometimes, life gets too much... but there is strength in taking a pause... to sniff at a good book❤️

I sort of feel a disconnection from how raw and glaringly Adichie depicts her grief, after the loss of her father, because I don't know neither have I experienced grief before. But then, I am also hypocritical enough to lose count of how many times I have cried under the heart-wrenching zing of nostalgia she manages to pull in literally every single page🤧. Heart racing slices of nostalgia that wet my cheeks long before I realize that I am crying😭😭. After reading this essay, it is enough for me that each expression is eloquently worded💛🧡, beautifully and poignantly crafted, not finding the need to shy away from the ugly emotions and rage associated with grief.... I highly enjoyed the reverence and the celebration of the life of a man who mirrors and embodies the culture of a typical Nigerian father, one that is good and prudent and formal and wise and enigmatic and most importantly, leaves a forever-lasting impression on your mind.

"Notes on Grief" is a short essay written by renowned writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, that captures and depicts the stages of her grief after the loss of her father... It is also a panegyric that celebrates his life and accomplishments☝️☝️

Hey guys!!! Made Indomie Fritata with green toppings today... Looking at these photos, the first book character that comes to mind is Lara Jean Song Covey from "To All the Boys I've Loved Before." 🤗🤗🤗

What book characters can you link to fancy food?💚💚💚🧡🧡🧡
