Embarrassingly I don’t know how I missed this one, the end of 2024 was a complete blur, but thoroughly enjoyed my visit into the city today to @theoutsidersmelbourne
An exceptional collection of street art acquired over many years and free to visit, yes free folks!
Thank you Andrew @sandrewmelbs for talking me through some of your acquisitions and taking the time to discuss my art with me as well, as did your amazing colleague.
.
I actually went into the city to pick up an unsold piece from a gallery that I had submitted last year. Whilst I have no feelings regarding the piece not selling, I was considering my goals for this year, how I’d juggle my love for my own personal projects with work/life balance. This exhibition which was an intravenous dose of the inspiration that can’t be absorbed on social media, and sparked a few ideas.

Ben Frost ~ ‘Exit Stage Left’ Acrylic & spray paint on wooden box-frame with plywood. Best known for his bold, irreverent Pop Art paintings. His instantly recognisable take on pop culture twists up everyday iconography from the worlds biggest brands. ✌🏼

⚠️ Flashing lights and fast moments ⚠️

I hope people never feel sorry for me or upset. I feel this way.

Well, it's okay to be upset.

I'm feeling sick, but not for my disabilities.

I was born this way and have worked my whole life to live alongside my chronic pain and live the life I feel is fit for my experience.

When I m struggling with chonic pain, I'll look to my walls, which are covered in art, that makes me happy.

Yes, I'd like to have more space and funds for frames, but for now, this is working.

Every room I have ever spent the majority of my time in has looked like this even since I was young.

So when you are around me and notice me looking around the room or my eyes darting around, don't worry, I'm fine it's normally just me trying to redirect my chonic pain.

*outside normally because of my ptsd 🫣

Thanks for watching and supporting 🙏

Hope you all have a wonderful day or night

I worked on a big run of edition prints for the talented artist Ben Frost.
Matched perfectly with the velvety smooth Canson Rag Photographique 310gsm paper.
