Do you know about #Verlan, the unique #French slang that works by inverting syllables within words? 🔁

What started as a secret code to keep conversations hidden from outsiders quickly became a way to signal identity, attitude, and belonging. 🫂

Today, it is fully woven into everyday French, especially in youth culture, music, and street #slang. 🗣️

Some example verlan words:
- Femme → meuf
- Mère → reum
- Merci → cimer

What’s your favorite Verlan word or phrase? 😃
