Immersive Light & Sound Environments

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On October 15, for North Park Gallery Night, step inside Zonkey’s ZLAB for NOCTURNAL, an audiovisual projection installation by Benjamin Guerrette, Brian Goodwin & Tim Gmeiner.

Nocturnal explores the visual evolution of light within a city from sunset to sunrise. 🌙 → ☀️

The shifting glow of headlights in traffic, streetlights reflecting in rain puddles, neon signs evolving from the rush hour bustle to late-night club vibes. Inspired by this progression, a soundtrack of 90s underground electronic dance music was crafted, with different genres reflecting the changing energy throughout the night.

On Friday, October 23, CHAPEL transforms once again for Ritual Seance, an immersive evening of light, sound, and ceremony from @tensixpines and @snakeoilcocktail.

A gathering built around intuition, ancestral memory, and listening for what the spirits are trying to share. Light fills the room and responds to the music in real time as live performance moves through the crowd. A night meant to be felt, not just observed. ✨

That’s a wrap on San Diego Design Week 2026! 💥

Multimedia Day brought our final chapter to life through film, sound, technology, conversation, immersive experiences, and one unforgettable silent disco.

Thank you to every designer, speaker, partner, volunteer and curious mind who made this week something to see, hear, feel and share. Design truly is for everyone, and this week proved it.

Until next year, San Diego. ✨
