August came and went in an unnecessary hurry don’t you think?

Probably the best work-life balance month I’ve had this year which is a huge win, with some really creative days mixed in with socially restorative weekends ft. family & friends

Having discipline to actually ‘do nothing’ at times is a struggle for me but it’s something I’m working on and August has been a good step in the right direction.

It’s all shifting up a gear in September though, so we’ll see how long it lasts 🫠

@old_millhillians_club keep marching on!

3-0 away at @alexandraparkfc

The play was slick, everyone confident on the ball enjoying their football albeit playing against 10 men for a large part of the game The OMs were large and in charge.

Well this afternoon was pretty special when an email dropped in my inbox from @thisisreportage to let me know I’d won my FIRST ever #TiRaward 🎉

I’m so pleased because I can remember this brilliant moment from @benhaftel + @katiehaftel13’s absolutely amazing wedding at @prestoncourtweddingvenue

Ben disappearing through everyone’s arms here during the hora. I got such a buzz from capturing this wedding and I still love looking back on it so it makes it extra special to win an award.

This award was chosen From over 10,500 images submitted across the Reportage Award (for the best individual captures) and Story Award (for a series of 15 – 20 images of a single wedding) entries, the judges for this round chose just 61 Reportage Awards and 33 Story Awards.

Two ⭐️bestaurants⭐️ for the price of one!
.
First up, Christmas Eve brunch at Sadelles 😮‍💨 it’s the top of many recommendation lists and it did not disappoint! I’m going to give it our best brunch in NYC! We ordered as much as we could fit on one table… the famous smoked salmon tower, eggs benedict, cheese and caramelised onion omelette, “pigs in blankets” aka sausage rolls and sides of bacon, sausage and a sweetened grapefruit for good luck ☘️
.
All the food was fab and my only wish is we’d managed a few more visits… that French toast we spied on other tables deserves an order too! 😋
.
.
Next up another favourite… told not to miss a visit to @nowon.usa and so glad we listened, this was one of my top 3 most enjoyed restaurants in NYC 👌
.
Famous for their cheeseburger (which was very good - two level smash burger with a hint of spice), we also tried the fried chicken burger. As well as the cheeseburger, my faves were the kale salad and broccoli ceasar salads, both drowning in their own delicious sauce. We were too full for the kimchi rice we ordered but tasted divine the next day with a fresh fried egg on top 🤤 Everything we ate was super tasty and amazing cocktails and all really reasonably priced. Top, TOP restaurant, get it on the list!

- 2 ferrero roche
- a glug (circa 30ml) of vodka
- two glugs (circa 60ml) of baileys
- chocolate sauce

Last weekend we failed to get into Clinton St Bakery (2 hour wait, no thank you) but weren’t mad because we subbed in fried chicken and waffles from @sweetchicklife .
.
You can choose between bone in or out of the chicken (I got boneless and pleased I did) as well as the flavour of chicken (I was tempted by Nashville hot but went with waiters recommendation of maple chipotle which was 👌). And all tables come with a bottle of Franks hot sauce and jug of maple syrup so you won’t be left lacking 😋
.
The cocktails weren’t great but would recommend for some tasty fried chicken 🐔 would return!
